Financing

At CGE, we understand that many of our customers want to 'go green" however, may require some financial assistance for their renewable energy project. We will work directly with you & your lender to ensure the financing process goes smoothly.
Manufacturer Financing:
Some manufacturers offer in-house financing for their products. For example, Xzeres Wind Corp. offers 100% financing for Agricultural applications. Contact us for more information.

State Loans:
Some states offer low interest financing for 'green' projects. For example, the State of Iowa has a 0% Interest Loan available for up to 50% of a Small Wind or Solar project for your home or business. Contact us for more information or visit www.dsireusa.org.
Home Equity:
Since most Renewable Energy projects add additional value to your home or property, many customers choose a Low Interest Home Equity Loan to finance their green system.

Local Banks:

Many local banks and Credit Unions are willing to finance Renewable Energy projects to their own current customers. We are happy to work with your bank to provide them all the information needed to make a lending decision.

Incentives

Federal:
There is a 30% Federal Tax Credit that is not scheduled to expire until 2014. This 30% is based on the total installed cost of the Renewable Energy System. In lieu of the tax credit, this can be turned into a cash with a U.S. Treasury 1603 Grant.

The USDA has a 25% REAP Grant available to Rural Businesses and Ag Producers, which can pay for up to 25% of a qualifiing Renewable Energy System. CGE has professional Grant Writers contracted to help our clients with this process.

For small businesses, there is also a 100% Bonus Depreciation for any Renewable Energy System installed and commissioned before December 31st, 2011.

State & Local:
Since every State and Local entity offers different incentives, please visit www.dsireusa.org to find out which incentives are available in your area.

Utility Company:
Every Energy Utility has different incentives and Net Metering rules. Please contact your Utility provider for additional information or visit www.dsireusa.org for a listing of Utilities and their incentives.

Sponsorship/PPA:
Sponsorship - Since Non-Profits and Municipalities are not eligible for most incentives, we provide other ways to structure a Renewable Energy project where a sponsor will assume the tax credits and the end-user will pay the difference. Contact us for more information.

PPA  (Power Production Agreement) -  In this situation, the Renewable Energy System is installed at no cost to the end-user... and after a designated period of time, the system is theirs free & clear. This type of structure generally applies to larger projects. Contact us for more information.
